8. Actually, he would have been better off politically had that been what he did --
screwed himself.

4. Oh N.O.!
What a worthless cost of political effort!

Advance some left-leaning judge already in the federal district courts, or a nationally recognized legal scholar (of which I can think of NONE who wouldn't cause a battle, though I'm soft on the guy from Georgetown.)

5. maybe by the end of the 2nd term
to hot right now - let him keep doing what he's doing (looking very smart and informed) for a couple years. he'll need some interim position of responsibility, perhaps in re-regulating wall street, too.

frankly, i'd rather see him as president - he seems like the SCOTUS would bore him. as the NYT pointed out yesterday, the bar for male politician's personal lives has never been lower than it is now.

9. He would be a much better choice than Coal Ash Sunstein
even if he fucked a hooker literally while court was in session, he would be an improvement over that neolib torture loving coal industry whore unitary executive fan.

12. Damaged goods or not, Spitzer should have an unofficial task force in the White House
Edited on Fri Apr-09-10 10:27 PM by troubledamerican
If Obama was serious. If Pelosi & the Doormat-o-crats were serious, they'd pressure him into it.

I guess vanity is more important.

13. To Spitzer vanity is more important....
putting him on any sanctioned or even unsanctioned White House committee or task force would be stupid.

Now if Spitzer had stayed out of the public eye until after Obama's re-election enough time would have gone by to mitigate his disastrous performance as Governor.

15. Your Nonsensical Comments ... are you 12 years old?
(1) Why is "vanity more important" to Spitzer? Because he's offering an informed opinion that is not being voiced anywhere else, which is helping the public? That's VANITY?

(2) "Putting him on any sanctioned or even unsanctioned White House committee or task force would be stupid" -- No reason offered by you. It's just "stupid". Are you 12 years old?

(3) "If Spitzer had stayed out of the public eye , enough time would have gone by to mitigate his disasterous performance as Governor" -- Go back to Little Green Footballs. If Spitzer was a "disaster" as Governor, then the MAJORITY of New Yorkers wanting him back in office would be not a FACT.

Go find a Tim Geithner fan club.

18. Actually, if you remove your emotion from it - he makes a lot of sense...
and is quite an astute observation.

Just stop and THINK for a moment.

Spitzer's achillies heal is way too big for him to do anything in an official capacity again...

19. You're right, calling an idea "stupid" without any explanation is so insightful.
And your "he makes a lot of sense and is quite an astute observation" is grammatically incoherent.

And "achillies heal" shows me I have zero reason to take your comments seriously.
