4. The $60 billion saved over 10 years by cutting out the banks will help a lot of students.

5. We are a lost generation in the matter.

They found their slaves and we signed the papers. Of course they will tell us that we didn't have to sign it...but our other option was dropping out and wasting all the investment up to this point.

Good to spare future generations on the matter.

8. I'm one of the slaves.
I'm not so sure. It's income based...so based on your income your good. You have no income you don't pay. That might help you.

3. This is actually the more important feature of this bill
He should do the signing ceremony at a college and trumpet the student loan reform. People realize health care already passed, so he should point out to people that he has a new achievement.

10. Stay tuned and pay attention - those of us with outstanding loans
get some retroactive benefits but I'm not sure how they work yet.

11. Yeah, its great. Big, nice surprise
Ive pointed out that Im disapointed they didn't take the debate public and use the opportunity to educated the people on the benefits of socializing that sector, but its nice it passed without Congress shitting on it and the media fanning the flames to make shit pie. There is no time like now though, and in no better context (banks), to have used this to shift the political spectrum leftward. No one is going to cry because private profit was lost here.

12. i consolodated with the Dept. of Education long ago
i write them a check every month, it's reasonable, and the interest rate rarely goes up - in fact it usually goes down (for how long, i know i know). i vastly prefer it to Chase.
