Photos: "another stone firmly laid in the foundation of the American Dream." (The Obama Presidency.)
(... Days 426 & 427.)

"In the end, what this day represents is another stone firmly laid in the foundation of the American Dream. Tonight, we answered the call of history as so many generations of Americans have before us. When faced with crisis, we did not shrink from our challenge -- we overcame it. We did not avoid our responsibility -- we embraced it. We did not fear our future -- we shaped it." President Barack Obama

Can you do me a favor? I saw a picture earlier of Obama reacting to the House vote, and I can't find it now. Could you post it in this thread so we can have them all together?

19. I love this photo...it says so much

I know that John Lewis had been called some slurs and I know they all decided to link hands together and walk to the vote. United and strong. Brave group of people there putting up with the teabaggers.

Also, the pic with Biden and Obama walking back with their hands around each other is adorable. Love it.
