Okay so they vote on the bill. Bill passes. But the Repubs want a motion to recommit because they feel the language in the bill is not sufficient to prevent government dollars going to abortion. So all the repubs are grandstanding and talking and asking for recommitting. And then one of our speakers goes up and he's gives a speech and then he calls on Stupak. Now all the Repubs are sitting there and they're like cheering cause Stupak and they want the Stupak amendment in the bill. Well...Well...Stupak goes on the podium and rejects his bill. He's like there's enough language to suggest that the Hyde Amendment is upheld. Oh man. So basically if there was a deal made..Obama made him actually have a speech prepared because he goes up with a speech and he rejects. Crazy.

So if there was a deal, then Obama was anticipating this situation to happen. Because Stupak had a prepared speech. So this was included in the deal and this was a setup to fuck up the Repubs.
