Dear Republican Party, You are cordially invited to
Dear Republican Party

The Democratic Party would like to cordially invite you to another 6th month round of "underestimate the President". This was a game we actually started. We knew that he couldn't get the nomination. Some of us were certain that he couldn't get elected if we nominated him.

Well if you were to take all of the people who have underestimated the President since he started it would fill every stadium in the country.

We learned our lesson but are delighted that you took up this game in your spare time.

Since he has been elected he has passed every single piece of major legislation that he has put forth. Largest stimulus bill in history, passed. Health Insurance reform, passed.

Now you are already congratulating yourselves on your sweeping House victory in November 2010.

I would also like to encourage you to measure the curtains for the Speaker's Office.

You should not put very much weight on the fact that tens of millions of people who have been prevented from getting medical care might be somewhat pissed that you want to take that away from him.

Its a small detail. President Obama will not be very effective in pointing out that you will be campaigning to take away something that they want. Small business owners will happily pay higher rates and lose their expanded pools so that Republicans be returned to office. All those people with pre-existing conditions will happily forgo access to Doctors, its not a problem.

And besides McConnell and Bohener are such great guys and people really do like these warm compassionate people - you won't even have to campaign much, and the Teabaggers are there to help you and they are so fond of a big Republican tent and Republican incumbants. The American public is so much more open minded that you shouldn't worry about anymore affairs or prostitution connections, its all good.

Its a shoo in. We look forward to your participation in a six month non stop orgy of underestimating this President. His luck has run out. Nomination, election, legislative success. All that beginners luck.

Sincerely

The Democratic "After Hatching Chicken Counting Brigade".

PS. We would be absolutely devistated if you would encourage Senator DeMint to make wide sweeping historic references to the President's inevitable downfall. Increasing the number of public appearences by the always fun Gov. Palin and off the cuff lectures by former Speaker Gingrich will really hurt us alot.
