She has really come through since the 2008 election. She has pushed sound liberal policies through the House time and again and proven herself an effective leader and an effective Democrat.

If only we had a Senate and President with half her ability and fortitude. Imagine what we could accomplish. Right now, we'd be watching a good bill coming up for a vote instead of the watered down horror we're about to get.

She has been what a Democratic leader ought to be - tough as nails, conscientious, tenacious, and a fighter for good liberal policy. She deserves many kudos for it.

I support Democrats who fight for liberal Democratic policies. Speaker Pelosi more than fits the description. As of February 23rd, 290 House bills were stalled in the Senate. 290. It is a flabbergasting number. She is doing her job in the House beautifully.
