9. I'd say that the Democrats prospects are looking very grim indeed
over the next two elections because of this POS bill.

13. I am self employed and this bill could save my life and many others...
sorry if it's not perfect but as a three time cancer survivor I am happy that there is something in it for me and the millions of others who pay for insurance that can be taken away any time.

16. I'm self employed also, and I've read the recent "adjustments" to this bill
it won't curb costs or increase access in the least. It's a scam.

11. I will be happy to live with this measure which is likely to cut
my insurance premiums almost in half. Spouse and I buy in individual market pay over $8,000 a year for policies with $3500 individual--not family--deductibles. This bill reduces our cost substantially and increases our coverage. It will also allow my sister to retire early. Now she continues to work only to keep her employer insurance since, as a cancer survivor, she cannot buy in the individual market. When this passes it will also help open up jobs because insurance in the only reason quite of a few of us early boomers haven't taken the early retirements we planned on.

8. Prospects improving for the insurance companies, you mean
the Democrats will lose a huge number of seats because of this scam. We KNOW where the public stands on a bill with mandates but without a public option!

18. Nice! So we're down to 1 or 2 remaining at the most?
I thought Stupak was a yes, and there was a thread here about it, but it seems he's still a no.
