Kucinich holding a press conference to "announce a decision he's already made"?

Kucinich To Announce His Vote On Health Care Wednesday

Jillian Rayfield

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), who's on the record saying he'll vote "no" on a health care bill without a public option, will announce his vote tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM, EST.

According to a press release from his office, Kucinich is ready to give his final decision on the health care bill from the Capitol Building.

Democrats have been pushing Kucinich to vote "yes." Just yesterday at an event in Ohio, President Obama responded to an audience member yelling out "Vote Yes!" by laughing and saying, "Did you hear that, Dennis?"

And unless Kucinich is now changing his vote to "yes" after spending time with Obama yesterday, it does seem a little odd to announce a decision he's already made. Though you never know...

Either way, Kucinich's announcement will be closely watched as House Democrats try to round up the 216 votes they need to pass the Senate's health care bill.

That would be rich.

2. He may have changed his mind.
If he does, he deserves respect for doing so. I hope his supporters can handle his change of heart, if that's what's coming.

15. Guess we'll find out tomorrow won't we.
You really shouldn't be so afraid for America to hear populist speak. The country is marching ever leftward anyway, so it is inevitable that the era of the ConservaDem will come to a close at some point. It's not necessary that the conservative point of view be given sole access to the citizens.

16. Then why are you so afraid of passing imperfect HCR
Edited on Tue Mar-16-10 10:36 PM by mkultra
let him speak. The country is moving leftward and that is exactly why im not afraid to pass health care in pieces. We (that would be the actual progressives) are doing whatever we can with what we have. Obstructionism IS a rw game.

I guess each of us will have to decide for ourselves on that one. ;)

10. If he says he'll vote yes, credit goes to Obama, the guy who yelled, "Vote yes" at the rally,
and all who called his office.

23. No that would be Obama going under the bus. We still respect DK
Rahmbo must've made some nasty threats, probably involving DK's family. Bunch of fucking DLC thugs.

We won't forget come November of 2010 or 2012.

Maybe you can convince Republicans to vote for him instead of us, because we're not buying his hope and change bullshit anymore.

24. Yes, Rahm threatened DK's family.
The sheer insanity of the grandstanding killbillies in the blogosphere is a sight to behold. I'm glad to see that the overwhelming majority of progressives that once opposed the Senate bill have come to their senses.

25. Doesn't change the fact. This dogshit bill has been rammed down our throats
and you're trying to tell us that this shit sandwich is sirloin.
Of course the threat angle is hyperbole, you nimrod.

We've been put into serfdom to the Health Insurance Monopoly and you're cheering. Big fucking whoop.

But I'll tell you what newbie. I will remember this come November of 2010 and 2012.

Maybe you can get a Republican to vote for Obama to take the place of my vote that he just lost! Hahaha!

One of these days I'm going to look at his voting record to see what he votes for, other than ending war.

otherwise you wouldn't know what decision you made.
