42. I'm sorry I just couldn't resist
are death throws some sort of jujitsu thing? I believe you are thinking of death throes.

I do get your point, I'm just in a weird mood tonight.

I hope you have a sense of humor, it seems to be helpful in these trying times.

45. No. I learned something with that correction which I had forgotten......
You see French is my first language, and even though I have been in America
for many years, I went through the first 7 years of school in France,
so there are some things I simply missed, as I was dunked in regular school,
into my normal grade, even though I spoke no English at the time, and was forced
to sink or swim.

Actually I knew this one, but apparently I forgot.

46. I completely understand
my beloved wife of almost 30 years is a Swede. She and I have a great deal of fun with each others birth language. I will be the first to admit her English is far superior to my Swedish.

That said it is fun hearing her say that something is "As easy as silk" or "It was as smooth as pie."

Idioms are perhaps the most difficult for the non-native speaker but boy oh boy English homophones are totally unfair and brutal for those speaking English as a second language.

6. "WE" must win?
I'm not an insurance corporate executive, so I'm not seeing a win here.

Barring the return of a TRUE Public Option (i.e. the Hacker/Dean variety) in reconciliation, of course. Which seems about as likely as Bart Stupak donating money to Planned Parenthood.

16. No, I don't get it.
And I will NOT ever get it. "It" meaning willing corporate fellation, in this case.

A WIN would be equal health care for every man, woman, and child in this country. This is exactly the opposite of that. This is financial slavery to corporate felons.

And you can thank each other for that.

However, don't blame the LIBERALS because you have been warned.

Lord, you have no idea how big a mistake this is ... it will reverberate for generations.

36. The pictures are very nice and certainly use a lot of bandwith, but
the fact is that the only cost-saving measure in the Senate health care bill was cuts to Medicare.

Like it or not, seniors will reject any party that cuts Medicare. The seniors now entering the Medicare eligible demographic have worked for Medicare all their working lives. They are not going to accept cuts to Medicare with smiles on their faces -- nor are their doctors.

So, the actual healthcare bill had better have some cost controls to health care that don't affect Medicare.

Obama should insist on the public option and would have been best off with an extension of Medicare. Without a public option or extension of Medicare, the health care reform bill will be very difficult to fund. Without those elements, the bill does not have sufficient cost-cutting measures.

I'm still supporting it because people are suffering due to lack of health care, but I do not like the Senate bill at all. I think it will hurt Democrats in the future.

and we know you see the glass all the way empty,
even when it is half full.

So yea, we win! Perhaps you believe you lose.
That would put you on the wrong side,
without even having been aware.
That's kind of scary for you, I would think.
But it is a Win for my 7 year nephew who has overcome cancer,
but still can't find insurance.
