Poll question: MODEST PROPOSAL: SWITCH Ed Secretary Arne Duncan & Treasury Sec Geithner
Geithner would go to Department of Ed and Duncan would go to Treasury.

That way, teachers would get millions in bonus and get to write their own rules for reform under Geithner, and Duncan would fire everyone on Wall Street and replace them with contractors who get paid a fraction as much as the current execs and be constantly tested and critiqued by everyone regardless of their knowledge of finance and economics, and subject them to future mass firings without recourse.

They are doing a great job whispering in Obama's ears and then running their offices like Republicans.

9. Arne Duncan didn't fire those teachers in RI, just fyi.
I'm not defending him, but your analogy for his part doesn't work.

10. he used the same tactic in Chicago and later admitted it didn't work.
It's clearly part of the subtext of the education ''reform'' agenda--union busting.

12. Two terrible, terrible choices.
Both pander to the corporate agenda. republicans could never get away with what they are doing.
