7. Kentucky senator Jim Bunning
He filibustered legislation that would have extended unemployment benefits for thousands, among other things. Because of this, those benefits end Sunday at midnight.

5. He lost the 1964 NL pennant race for the Phillies.
He choked when they were still 11 games ahead.

Now, it's clear to see Bunning's been hit in the head too many times.

6. This Is What Happens When You're Too Nice To Republicans.

The Democratic establishment has empowered old right-wing pricks like this guy. If we'd acted like the majority party from the get-go, instead of just a bunch of spineless chumps, this kind of crap wouldn't be happening.....

10. Nothing to refute with that statement
The repugnants could pass the Iraq War Resolution with 49 Senators, but we couldn't get health care reform passed with 60. Awful

13. Wouldn't agree more
but remember, Democrats has within their ranks dogs that are
constantly working against the interest of the party.

They are the ones enabling this kind of attitude from farts
like these.

11. When he was a baseball star, what were his attitudes toward the poor?
I know nothing about his history other than that he was a famous baseball player long ago. Have his attitudes changed, or have they just become more obvious and important now that he's a senator?
