Poll question: Michael Bloomberg...
RE Bloomberg's recent yet narrow victory for a third term as NYC's mayor:

While hardly a landslide success, the victory does maintain him in a high-profile position. He began as a Democrat, became a Republican to (narrowly) defeat Democrat Mark Green for the NYC mayor's job, and of late is an independent.

He is a man in a high-profile job with almost unlimited money and in essence, not that much to do. Do you believe the presidency is calling to him, or that he THINKS it is, and do you believe he will seek that office in 2012?

In your opinion, Michael Bloomberg will --

running for Governor as an indy.

2. He could jump in to the gubernatorial race, but Andrew Cuomo appears
strongly favored at the moment.

That would shake things up considerably, but would may be a high political risk for Bloomberg.

3. While this thread is sinking like a giant boulder I would still assert that
Bloomberg is a potential history-changer.

He has quite a bit of money and despite the modest margin of victory over Thompson this fall is positioned for a national campaign, either to re-shape the GOP which is in grievous need of re-shaping, or as a third-party candidate.
