The summit can only make things worse for Republicans: Cantor edition
Quote of the year: Cantor: "...people who are ALLEGEDLY wronged by our health care system..."

These people are insane. If anything proves that they're not coming to this summit in good faith, it's what Eric Cantor (R-Oblivious) just said. He claims that we can all "read letters by constituents who are allegedly wronged by our health care system."

1. First step is admitting there's a problem.
They just can't and won't do it because they have been paid to ignore the real problem and instead argue that the insurance industry doesn't currently make enough profit.

FAIL.

2. So in other words, Cantor believes most Americans are liars.

7. Dude I'm still dealing with Coburn who said, "We can't do these sweeping changes..."
What?! So what you mean is that we can't do any sort of health care reform.

3. He had to say ALLEGEDLY otherwise he's admitting being part of the problem
Something no "self-respecting" rethug would ever do.

It's utterly pathetic that the damned lawyers and triple-damned lawmakers can't speak their minds and call spades "spades". This euphemistic, politically-correct, take-no-responsibility culture is so repugnant.

And what defies belief is that they have no shame displaying it for all to see.

I despair.

6. my dad was wronged. He had a portion of his lung removed and
was in dire straights when the insurance company kicked him out of the hospital. five days after getting cut in half and getting 1/4 of his lungs removed, he had to go home. I slept on the floor beside his bed to help him, to make sure he was still breathing. the terror of it for all of us I will never forget. ever. and I will never. ever. forgive.

8. "Allegedly"?
So he thinks that the people who told stories were making them up?

Cantor really is tone-deaf.
