Just called MSNBC and said, "don't want to hear your Commentating, want to hear the Summit Speakers"
Told them I want to hear the Health Care Summit uninterrupted. I'll decide what I think,
and don't care at all what the newsreaders and the paid commentators think.

Told them I had wanted to watch the Summit on their channel, but that they had "forced" me to turn to C-Span III. That they left me with no choice.

You can call them too. Perhaps they will realize that we don't want to hear them......they talk all day everyday already!

Go ahead and call, even if you aren't watching them anymore.

9. Thanks......I did a long time ago......
But I still called them, cause I still want them to know why I switched to another station....
just so that they don't "wonder" what they did wrong.

18. But my tier doesn't include C-span 3.
As I just said in another thread, I put MSNBC on with the sound off and am playing Cspan radio for the audio. It's a little off-sinc but I'm mostly listening as I work anyway.

Yep......they need the message. They could have gotten 4 hours of viewing time, but instead,
they'd rather push propaganda from the unelected paid non-thinkers. :eyes:

14. Thanks for the number and just called.
I switched to C-Span awhile ago when they started with talking heads.
Just be for prepared for those calling - the person answering the phone was nasty and will immediately switch you to record your message.

19. It's on Dish TV if you buy a high enough tier.
I have the 200 channel level, which is in the middle, and I don't have it.

21. My cable company has it, but it's one of the digital channels. So that means "basic" cable
doesn't get it, but the "expanded" digital package gets it to customers.

In fact, with my cable company, only regular CSPAN is on basic cable (Channel 21 for me). CSPAN2 and CSPAN3 are in the standard digital range (Channels 117 and 118). They also transmit CSPAN on Channel 116, so I could just easily use the Channel +/- buttons on my remote to rotate between the 3 CSPAN channels.

22. Yep stream it
Edited on Thu Feb-25-10 01:27 PM by LatteLibertine
So far I've been streaming it online from WhiteHouse.gov and when that locks or drops, C-SPAN 3.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/live
http://www.c-span.org/Watch/C-SPAN3_wm.aspx

I wanted to watch the thing unfold then hear commentary. Not miss large portions of it at the time it was happening due to pundit commentary and commercials.

I probably will watch MSNBC tonight to hear Rachel and Keith's opinions.

The whitehouse.gov stream is actually fairly HQ.

Ya' I'm not a fan of commercials, besides, I don't need the event picked apart and to be spoon fed bites before I've seen it. I'd rather digest it on my own first, then listen to my favorite commentators.

The net has a lot of problems and flaws, however sometimes it's fantastic. Today is a good example.

29. I switched to CNN
and I hate CNN, but MSNBC's coverage has sucked and now they are showing the Olympics again. I think the Health Care Summit is more important than the Olympics and they can show the Olympics on NBC.
