Ah, the pukes ANSWER to "what would Jesus do?" as heard on Cspan this a.m.
Get ready for this one: the caller said that while Jesus wanted to heal the sick, etc, he NEVER said you should be FORCED to do so!

So that's it! That's the answer to having universal health care. Jesus never said "forced"!

I take it, then, that Jesus was just preaching about being nice. No biggie. You don't have to go out of your way to help anybody...you cool...just stay in your nice, comfortable bubble as long as you mouth that you "care" for your fellow man...

The idiots.

Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.' "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life." ~ Matt. 25:41-46

9. Any time...
... one of the down sides of the fact that we've ceded Christans to the GOP is that there aren't enough Christian Dems (or those who aren't afraid to say so without fear of being bashed) around to POINT OUT what a bunch of hypocritical pharisees the Fundies really are.

But I will ALWAYS be glad to step up and do it. ;)

8. The way these asshole repukes spin is unbelievable.
The cognitive dissonance they must feel. I mean, they can twist anything into meaning the exact opposite. What a bunch of fucking fools.

11. Years ago, some conservative told me...
"Jesus said, 'the poor will always be with you', so it's OK, you can't stop it".

Looking at this guy, I asked him, "did he say there have to be so many?"

This exchange came after I put a few bucks into a Salvation Army kettle, and was unsolicited, just some guy walking past me and deciding I was in "need" of some great insight.

It is bad enough that some people would actually beat the poor down a little more, but this clown was trying to get me to see "the error of my ways"...after all, people are poor because they "choose" to be...:grr:

12. Comes from the idea that being poor is a punishment for sin.
You see, God promised the faithful that He would make them wealthy. And if you're faithful and poor, you must be doing something wrong. Of course the solution always seems to be to give more money to the church.

:banghead:

Nice scam if you can get it going. It's pure evil, but it's still a nice scam.
