I hear the narrative from the media that Obama doesn't do a good job of explaining things like HCR

After seeing the TOwn Hall today I'm convinced the problem is the DNC and the people he has surrounded himself w/ in the White House. Howard Dean could've helped shaped the argument a lot better if he was at the DNC. Obama is great at explaining things, the problem is he's the only one.

1. He does a good job of explaining things but he doesn't explain things in sound bites and the media

generally only has time for soundbites.

2. The media doesn't report what he says

They twist and gotcha and take 5 words out of context and then pretend that half the political problems in the country aren't their fault.

3. The problem isn't that he has a hard time explaining things the problem is he

doesn't speak conservative speak. You know, drill baby drill, hopey changey, the flag, christian morals, tax cuts. Your dealing with a nation that has a short attention span, FDR type speeches no longer work because people today want crib note speeches. This is what the people hear during a speech....blah blah blah blah tax cuts blah blah blah. Blah blah blah family values blah blah blah blah.

Now these folks aren't really stupid as they clearly see the same problems liberals see. The problem lays with their understanding of said problem, they want quick easy fixes, when the engine in their autos start knocking they don't want to fix the problem, hey just put a can of STP or motor honey in and its fixed because the engine no longer knocks, it costs them $5 for STP and to repair the problem would cost 100's of dollars, so STP time.

The same with economics, Health care or joblessness, that is why screwing with how you count the unemployed works with them, oh gee lets take a phone poll and see how many folks are on unemployment benefits, oh not as many as last month so unemployment is down. Forget to mention that means nothing when you don't count the unemployed who got jobs or they just ran out of benefits.
