Put the CNN Poll in the Trash where it belongs!
Edited on Wed Feb-17-10 11:35 AM by wowimthere
Hell, let's just put all the media under a bridge of distrust.

Why do we need to waste our time following Gallup? CNN would have you believe they are legitimate pollsters. The CNN poll is bullshit!

You've got a President whose put the country back on the right track. Job growth is going in the right direction. The stimulus worked. Obama has done his job. Congress hasn't. Don't blame the president for the stupidity of the Senate.

Anti-incumbency? Get rid of Democrats after one term under this president and vote crazy ass Right-wing-manufactured tea-baggers back in? People are stupid to buy into the media's narrative of loonies having so much power. Teabaggers are Republicans, plain and simple. Does this media really care about this country? I'm not sure they do. CNN and the rest brought you "A WAR IN IRAQ: Playing at a television near you". They'd just assume throw the whole country to Sarah Palin.

FACT:

Beyond Keith and Rachel... I'd say the media, in general is trying to junk up Obama's presidency. He's been in office one year. Agree with him or disagree with some of his policies, he's done more in one year than most presidents can do in two terms.

I may have my disagreements with him but this CNN poll looks like a bunch of teabaggers got a hold of the narrative. CNN is full of Shit! If news organizations lie about one thing then emphatically they lie about many things.

I also think that there is an element of racism with regard to this president's coverage. A black man succeed? Even if he does succeed the media can't paint him as a total success after all he is a black man.

So I put the CNN poll right next to the rest of the news joint venture polls belong. In the garbage.

1. It is always important to look at a poll's methodology.
Some polls are manipulative on purpose, some are not. The discrepancies in Obama's disapproval #'s in all polls simply tells me different polls are using different methodologies to poll with. I would put CNN in the trash but I don't want to throw away my tv.

4. Agree regarding the importance of methodology, but only to people like us..
The average American can't spell methodology, doesn't know what it means and proudly distrusts anyone who uses "big words like that".
They appreciate "plain talk", like that ol' boy "W" gave them.

"A new poll shows---" is all the introduction they want and, of course, polls which don't say what they already believe are "goddamn liberal polls".

It's a simple world they live in and they resent anything which suggests it ain't so.

7. Yes, my own conservative parents don't understand it when I tell them that about polls.
The question is why are average Americans so dumb?

2. It's worth noting that many on DU are already exploiting this BS poll in their anti-Obama screeds
On another thread a poster just said, "52% of Democrats will now vote against Obama in 2012". Quite the leap.

5. It's what Keith said normally says happens. Backlash. Marginalize him at every turn.

Anyone who thinks he's awful after one year is delusional, dumb, republican, teabaggers, neo-cons, racist, bigoted, ignorant of facts.

3. I like the article Politico has this morning.....
.... saying that the electoral map is reverting back to red.

As if there'd been a Presidential election yesterday. :)
