I heard a perfect analogy for the Obama Admin on the radio this morning:
He's governing like he's playing a game of golf, as if he's just challenging himself against the course, the Democrats & Republicans in Congress are just other players and he expects the afternoon's round to be a nice, cordial good time. But the reality is that he should be governing like he's playing basketball, and remember that the Democrats are on his team and that the Republicans aren't. They'll do everything they can to block him & trip his team up, all elbows & shoulders, and the Dems have to work hard together to score.

Barack: STOP PLAYING GOLF!!

6. I played on a woman's team in college. It was fun but I was really sore
after a game. I think golf takes more skill though but we are used to politics being like a contact sport.

4. You need to stop playing with shitty analogies you hear. It's not a good game.
And makes no bloody sense; considering golf is ridiculously competitive.

8. Golf isn't a team sport; basketball - and representative democracy - is.
And the GOP is on the OTHER team

10. Makes perfect sense
team sports, offensive and defensive strategies, compared to golf, where you play against the course, which gives the same opportunities and challenges to each player.

Just because you disagree, or don't understand, doesn't make the analogy wrong.
