Yo DICK! Meet Barack Obama - A *real* Commander In Chief, actually getting the job done

WASHINGTON — The Taliban’s top military commander was captured several days ago in Karachi, Pakistan, in a secret joint operation by Pakistani and American intelligence forces, according to American government officials.
The commander, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, is an Afghan described by American officials as the most significant Taliban figure to be detained since the American-led war in Afghanistan started more than eight years ago. He ranks second in influence only to Mullah Muhammad Omar, the Taliban’s founder and a close associate of Osama bin Laden before the Sept. 11 attacks.

Mullah Baradar has been in Pakistani custody for several days, with American and Pakistani intelligence officials both taking part in interrogations, according to the officials.

5. Obama could capture bin Laden himself, fly him to Dick Cheney's house,
try him by military tribunal on the front lawn, then pull the switch to execute him and Dick would whine.

Hey, Liz, haven't seen you on TV recently! Why don't you come out and play on one of the talk shows, telling us how BAD this is for the war on terror!

10. Cheney had a different agenda altogether--and catching terrrrists wasn't part of it.
Republicans do themselves no good when they REALLY accomplish a mission. They need the bad guys out there to
be able to tell us how badly we need them to protect us from terrrrrists, and they let bad things happen to
reinforce the notion. Then a few "Mission Accomplished" banners strategically displayed on some battleship
with Fox and the MSM flashing it in everyone's face, and they're all set.

If the bad guys get caught, they lose their raison d'être. That's the last thing any Republican politician wants,
and their record in office shows it.

11. That is precisely the situation...
they exist for nothing more than dragging people into a fearful state, then doing nothing about it.

They do this with everything. For years, they have motivated the base-liners w/tales of horror about abortion; yet, when they had power in both houses of Congress, and a compliant USSC, as well as the WH, they did nothing. Every election cycle, they would drag out the old canard of babies being killed on the floors of "abortion mills", driving their base into a fury, then...do nothing. It is the same thing on the "War on TERROR!"; squeal like madmen that, "we're all going to die!!11!!", then slap themselves on their backs and howl at how they "did it again"!.

For the GOP to exist, there has to be an enemy, any "enemy" will do; it could be the "communists", "illegal immigrants", the "Chinese", the "French", nuclear holocaust, aliens from space...you name it, they have a "fear" for it.

FWIW, most Americans are seeing them for what yet are...nothing more than fear-mongers...and that is why the GOP is going the way of the Whigs.

Now if D's showed a spine, and told them to just screw-off, we'd be moving in a forward direction...after all, they have no ideas, they have no morals and they have no real power, only perceived power, which they wield to the detriment of the nation and the citizens.

12. The #2 guy getting killed or captured has been going on for
years now. It gets old after awhile. Now there is a new #2 guy. Had anybody heard this guys name before he was captured? No. If he is so important why didn't we?
