Biden Heading To Israel
As tensions continue to rise over Iran's nuclear ambitions and what Israel might be planning to do about them, the White House announced today that Vice President Biden will head to the region next month.

It will be the first trip to Israel for Biden as vice president. The Jerusalem Post is noting that Biden will be the highest-ranking Obama administration to visit the country.

The White House announcement said he will meet with a number of leaders in and around Israel, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, and Jordan's King Abdullah.

6. To the rescue of what? The peace process has been stalled for years
and the Obama Administration mishandled Israel when it insisted on a total freeze on settlements.

As to Iran, what is the US to do in Israel but to tell Bibi not to start a new war in the Persian Gulf.

7. I do agree with you but I think Joe makes a lot of sense. I do have some faith.
...though I have been somewhat disappointed in the Obama foreign policy. I think Joe Biden is a very sensible guy. He is STILL talking about Pakistan, but Obama sent troops to Afghanistan...

12. Biden has a track record of sticking his foot in his mouth
I would have relied on someone more discreet and tactful.

2. Man, that guy is earning his paycheck. I think he has dealt with Netanyahu
before, and probably several of the others, so it's probably a natural that he should be the one to meet with them.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall.

4. Well, lets see. He was in Vancouver, told off Cheney, going to Israel.
On top of dealing with Iraq (came back from there not too long ago). Does he ever rest?
