Note to DU, Krugman and the like: ****AMERICA'S NEWS MEDIA IS FUCKIN SLOPPY!!!!!****
Edited on Thu Feb-11-10 02:37 PM by uponit7771
Seeing Krugman get pulled into some of the America's sloppy M$M group think is disappointing to say the least. If someone so word careful as him is getting pulled into taking what America's lying M$M is sayin at face value it would be a good bet to believe that a good number of DU'ers and LIVs are too...

I used to work for a major media ...outlet (to KIS) ...and know for a fact that America's media is 10 times worse at group think than say Germany or South Africa. They don't think for themselves and piggy back off stories THEY (yes, most of them live in a thicker bubble than people who are in congress, WH could ever dream of) think are news worthy.

For profit news media does this

Your thoughts?

TIA

Is more evidenced by administration policy.

Barack Obama (D)
Top Contributors

This table lists the top donors to this candidate in the 2008 election cycle. The organizations themselves did not donate , rather the money came from the organization's PAC, its individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates.

Because of contribution limits, organizations that bundle together many individual contributions are often among the top donors to presidential candidates. These contributions can come from the organization's members or employees (and their families). The organization may support one candidate, or hedge its bets by supporting multiple candidates. Groups with national networks of donors - like EMILY's List and Club for Growth - make for particularly big bundlers.

8. True. See the full context of Obama's quote about "not begrudging executives bonuses?"
Edited on Thu Feb-11-10 04:39 PM by backscatter712
I'll give you a hint. That's not what he said.

The full quote from Bloomberg:

QUESTION: Let’s talk bonuses for a minute: Lloyd Blankfein, $9 million; Jamie Dimon, $17 million. Now, granted, those were in stock and less than what some had expected. But are those numbers okay?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, look, first of all, I know both those guys. They’re very savvy businessmen. And I, like most of the American people, don’t begrudge people success or wealth. That’s part of the free market system. I do think that the compensation packages that we’ve seen over the last decade at least have not matched up always to performance. I think that shareholders oftentimes have not had any significant say in the pay structures for CEOs.

I found the complete quote of President Obama here:

I'll take "Quotes taken out of context" for a thousand, Alex...
