OK. What's the big deal with Palin? What did she prove? What did
she disprove? What did she say beyond she hates Obama and what he stands for.

Did she accomplish anything?

7. You are afraid. I'm not because she said nothing 'smart;'. That's the way
she rolls. Whoever likes it, like my brothers, good for them. I have learned a lesson-she's a dumb one. And, she's making a lot of money, so she's not that dumb.

8. Yeah
She discovered on the campaign trail back in 2008 that- if nothing else- she is good at stirring up crowds of people whom are predisposed to hate Obama, Democrats, and pretty much anybody they don't like and want to hate. During the campaign, McCain (to his credit) was able and willing to (sort of) put a "leash" on her and help try to get the crowds she was whipping up calmed down a bit. Now that she is no longer a VP candidate nor an elected official, she has virtually no restraints placed on her and nothing she says seems like it will ever be too dumb (or dangerous) for the teabagger crowd. She will undoubtedly be milking her "celebrity" status for all it's worth and for as long as it can possibly last and there is not a damned thing we can do about it. All we can really do is either ignore her and/or hope that she eventually implodes (which she will eventually- when she is forced to realize that she's "not all that"). Here's hoping that THAT happens sooner rather than later.

9. It doesn't matter that she's not smart, or logical, or right.
Edited on Sun Feb-07-10 01:08 AM by pnwmom
What matters is how many people she can influence. And an awful lot of people still like her -- about the same number as those who dislike her, according to the latest polls.

People like us thought Ronald Reagan was a clown, too. And George W. That didn't keep people like her from electing them into office.

14. BSister, she is working the people who hates President Obama and
it is gaining momentum with the teabaggers, they don't care about Americans, all they care about is making sure President Obama fails! That is their goal and given how much most of them look at fox news, they will be convinced that PO needs to fail. Never did I think that electing a black person would bring out the worst of the worst, they might as well bring out the white sheets and the hoods!

16. Who cares about Palin.
She's insignificant and soon to be irrelevant. I would worry more about Brown from Massachusetts. It looks and sounds like they're building him up exactly the way Obama was built up. I expect to see him run for president in either 2012 or 2016.

17. Romney will put the knife in Brown
Brown is a liberal republican from Massachusetts, right there half the GOP distrusts him.

18. Romney has a major problem with the non-Mormon
religious right that I don't think he can overcome. A lot of the religious right sees Mormonism as next the satanism. Romney won't be the candidate.
