9. It says that Firefox needs a plugin, but will not identify the plugin
and comes up that there is no appropriate plugin for it.
Weird!

18. Real Player is malware.
I use VLC Player. It plays that surreal real stuff better than the "real" player.

20. VLC Player is good, but its codec pack wedged my directv2pc player in vista
I agree with you re: Realplayer and its' ridiculous updater/install platform that shoves malware removal software down your throat. I have all of that disabled.

17. If you are a Windows user, you really should get this
http://shark007.net/vistacodecpackage.html - for Windows XP or Vista

http://shark007.net/win7codecs.html - for Windows 7

It enables your Windows Media Player to handle just about any media format. You don't need to mess around with the crappy Real Player, or Quicktime or any of that crap. Yeah, I've used Media Player Classic, VLC, and all the others. I can say this actually works better.

Sorry, that just makes me puke.

I don't care how many codecs you load, trying to patch fecal matter with more fecal matter, just makes things smell worse. I'll have to try it on the Mac.

23. "Is it safe?" (Shades of Marathon Man). I'm interested in this but...
some forums say it has malware in it.

Have you experienced any problems with it?

21. OP's video stream not working now - but there are alternatives ...
Edited on Fri Feb-12-10 10:47 AM by LVZ
That link does not seem to work for me.

This one always works: http://www.lasvegasmixx.com/msnbc-live2 (backup)
This one usually does: http://www.lasvegasmixx.com/msnbc-live (better quality)

Just click on the video white screen "play" button.

28. No volume problem here Q...
Maybe the browser's volume is set to 0 (recall that Win7 can set each apps volume) or your QT plugin is corrupt.
