9. POTUS is now talking about being open to discussion w/ Repugs and respectful but also principled
in terms of carrying out the people's business.

Move beyond politics. Play an "outsiders game"... Turn off the tv. Get past the echo chamber. Focus on how to help people instead of how one can benefit politically.

26. President for Life!
I know - give me more Koolaid! I don't agree with everything he has done or stood for (or not pushed hard enough) this year. But dayum...there is no one smarter, more articulate, nor more ON OUR SIDE!

UPDATE: good Boxer question on TBTF banks. Proud to share: moved my money last week!

12. DADT is discrimination. Period
Here's a statement for this discussion with Democrats:

Not being able to openly serve as a gay or lesbian et al
is discrimination and it's illegal.
Replace the word "gay et al" with Jewish, women, African
Americans, etc.
Being gay, lesbian et al is not a choice.

21. He's "schooling" them to real problems for the middle class, over the past ten years
declining wages, declining benefits, can't keep their heads above water, working harder for lower pay...

He seems to be a bit angrier than he was with the GOP.

46. What in the hell are the leaders..
in Dem party doing waiting they seem to wait for the Repubs to put someone up against the so called Dem. They don't want real Dems they always go find a Bluedog/Repub to put up against the other side because most of them are really Repubs some of the leftovers from the sixties, not saying Bayh he was too young..

37. "Long-Term" and "Sustainable". No president in memory has ever used these terms this way.
And they really are the key to responsible policy design, whether economic or energy or anything else.

Past administrations have been happy to keep things manageable only within their terms, or a few years, or not at all.
