We need push back against the emerging GOP spin.
Yesterday does not refute the meme that the Republicans are the Party of No. We Democrats acknowledged the usefulness of some of their ideas by including them in the Stimulus and health care reform ( too damned money to my way of thinking ). The tag fits because they say no to even their own ideas. I hope our folks point this out on the news shows tomorrow because they got that sobriquet the old fashioned way, they earned it.

2. First off--Call them out right away. They are naturally trying to spin
yesterday in their favor. "Today proves --We are not the
Party of No IDEAS. Cleverly changing the Party of No to
the Party of No Ideas.

The Democrats have never said anything about ideas.

The Democrats called them the Party of NO because of their
obstruction and blocking everything the Dems attempted.

Yesterday was good for both in that both sides showed
they could be civil and use respectful tones to get their
points across.

They are slippery eels--No Ideas is not NO, I will not support.

4. "slippery eels" is spot on.
They would be lost without the Frank Luntz craft of the selection and arrangement of words to obscure truth.

5.  I haven't seen any of our people refute this.
They better be up to the task tomorrow. Gregory is not likely to even try to confront Boehner on this.

7. I find it hilarious that Pence keeps saying "the Pres says we
aren't the party of no". He sounds like a kid seeking approval from a parent.

6. I have been posting and WISHING for that since the day
Obama took office. I don't know if it would do any good, but the Democrats are dumb as hell for not at least trying to bring back the Fairness Doctrine. And the FCC has got to punish them for the lies Fox and rush spin.

are content to sit back, say "No", and sow discord in our party. We need to be aware, level headed, diplomatic and inclusive.

In addition, we should turn that back around on them and encourage their "purity" tests and their embracing of the hard right.
