I'm thinking will the corporate money go to Republicans?
Edited on Thu Jan-28-10 05:10 AM by ProgressOnTheMove
I mean if corporations are smart they'll want a friendly face of corporatism. Why send it to the party that will meet the most resistance and are the most greedy. So, options are getting smaller for passing legislation. I'm even tempted to beg moderates Collins and Snowe to do an Arlen Specter, I mean come on, the money will come to the Democratic party, if the corporations are smart (not that I want it to). OK, desperation but what can we do. Arlen turned out OK and Rendell backs him for Senate. All I'm saying is it might not turn out as bad, bad for certain but potentially we Democratic party for life. Even if not true, how about circulating that idea to Republican friends and see how their view on the ruling is then. I would love if it does turn out true though, the ultimate backfire on the Republican party even if it does take us down a darker parth.

1. pardon me, but maybe you are missing the point
All that corporate money will corrupt Washington beyond redemption. It may be that bad already. A lot of that money will go to Democrats. A Democrat owned by Boeing may be slightly better than a Republican owned by Boeing. But that's grading on a mighty steep curve.

recruit one or two to at least get a few safety nets before it does. I mean not the best of choices but how many have we got. I'm just thinking of all our options, it doesn't have to be this one, but if we can find the will there is a way.

3. in the long run, it's really going to suck
For the party, and more importantly for the people. I've got to refresh my memory on what it takes for a constitutional amendment. But I'm thinking that's what is needed. Alas, it's probably also impossible because of corporate control of government. Sigh.

4. Oh it'll probably be even worse than that once the modern day prototype...

works once, they'll take over each nation and they'll be nowhere to hide from it. I'm at peace with it now, this life is all about heart something the corporations will never take away, if a person is true. Heart in the sense of compassion.
