PELOSI: We Don't Have The Votes On Healthcare
Update: In an interview with POLITICO, Nancy Pelosi says she doesn't have the votes to pass the Senate bill in its current form. It's unclear where the lines got crossed. But she does say it will get done some how

1. So... they have less than 51 now?
Forget the 60 Hillary, just get going on 51 or more.

9. Pelosi is in the House
and has to hit 220 or therabouts, no other way around it. She has to get the votes to pass the Senate bill as is, or break it up and pass it piece-meal and hope the Senate goes for reconciliation. This was just brilliant strategy to "kill the bill". And people complaining about 6 months, we could have had this signed 6 months ago.

3. Oh come on! This is ridiculous.
Maybe if she spent less time talking to the media and more time talking to her causus and passing the bill, there wouldn't be so many conflicting reports.

It's hard to believe anything anyone says anymore, regardless who's fault it is.

8. Nancy Pelosi is talking out both sides of her mouth. How can we trust her anymore? We already
have been crapped on by Harry Reid.
In the house, Steny Hoyer is also ineffective as Whip.

11. It wouldn't be a stretch to assume it was the reporter, but if.
she would quit talking to them all the time they couldn't misquote her. I can't believe she would say two completely opposing things within days of each other. She's actually very effective as a House leader and she didn't get there from being a moron.

I choose to blame the "reporter" until I hear otherwise.

6. Then pass the POPULAR insurance reforms, and wait on the other pieces, and DO IT NOW.
