Are Progressives fucking invisible to the democrats?
Edited on Fri Jan-22-10 08:07 PM by warrior1
Cuz I'm telling you the way their talking sure sounds like it. Reid doesn't get it, now says he's going to support Bernacke, which is something that probably came down on high. Obama, talks a real good talk, but he seems powerless against everyone. It's like the Dem's are still shell shock after 9/11.

Talk me down. God do I have a headache.

1. Wish I could....

I'm hardly a firebreathing, hardcore lefty/liberal myself. Probably by most normal standards I'm a moderate to slightly liberal democrat. And I'm fed up with the democrats and everyone involved in our leadership. Like sick to my stomach fed up with just all the capitulation and cowtowing and corporate favoratism (and I'm not even anti-corporation being as how I work for one and don't hate it/them!). But it's just patently ridiculous how we shit away a majority in the house, a supermajority in the senate, and a democratic president.

And I'm sure the apologists will be along any second to post that list of accomplishments and tell me how "Well....we don't really have 60 democrats...blah blah blah."

3. When the current mental model doesn't make sense anymore...
It leaves you looking for a new model. In this new model someone is not being honest with us.

4. To answer your question...
YES!

Every time there is evidence of voters being very pissed it is interpreted as a sign that we need to move farther to the right or become more "Centrist."

I could probably count on one hand the members of Congress who get it. The rest of them are just useless tools.

The democrats of both parties, with the president are locked in one of the chambers. They will all be with out any access to cell phones, phones, computers, etc. Give them pencil, paper and a copy of the medicare code. Write one sentence that opens up the health care to all, Medicare part E. Then start writing all the laws in simple straight forward messages. And start fucking governing this damn country. Keeping fucking everything up and you'll all be out of a job.

11. No, not invisible to democrats. Just taken for granted, which is laughable considering that it's

our hard work and ideas which are the lifeblood of the party.

12. I need talking down myself.

Between the Supreme Court's mind-boggling decision yesterday, and the talking heads declaring that health care reform is most likely DOA today; I'm thinking that this grand experiment of the USA is on its last legs.

Out of work since last April, no jobs in sight, no health care reform and our future politicians bought and sold by openly by our corporate masters.

This isn't a country I want my son to grow up in any more. And it's fast becoming a country that I don't want to spend the last part of my life in either.

I cried tears of joy when Obama was elected. I was naive enough to think that one man could make a difference.

I know better now.

13. We don't have enough money
With the recent Supreme Court decision I don't think it's going to matter if a D or an R is in office. It hardly does now.

of something clinging to their shoe, that they can't quite get rid of, but they are almost to the point of throwing the shoes away in disgust. That's us. Just something they stepped in (or on) on the way to the party.
