It's kinda like the Corporations want an all out war with us
for the fate of America and ultimately the world.

tonight I feel like the President has a clear chance to display to me and other disheartened Americans of all stripes which side he is going to be on and whether or not he is ready to fully man up to the challenge.

over the next couple months, he will have ample chance to show me real action, real change.

I wont hate him if he can't accomplish everything he sets out to do. But putting the banksters and corporations in their place is pretty much do or die -not just for him, but for us as a country.

If he fails, and the corps and banks still run things, the vote in November really wont mean a shit. our Democracy will already by functionally dead no matter who we vote for.

At which point, will we really have any other option than to start all over from scratch?

1. It'd be kind of nice if it were a two-way war....
As it is, it's just the corporados pissing on us, our children, the planet, our futures...

for posting on DU in your own time if what you post runs counter to the political philosophy they are backing.

6. The word I choose to use, REBOOT
I believe the lusty pursuit of a unitary executive has set every other branch of government in search of their own expansion of power, right down to local law enforcement. As if to cover every aspect of what might be construed as white space, I'm frightened of a body politic that views oppression as a bandwidth.

If the America we have been brought up to believe is an illusion, it's time to make it real. The working model doesn't seem to be operating as the theoretical designers intended.
