Greenwald: Why isn't Lieberman's lying being reported?

Glenn Greenwald tweets that Joe Lieberman has been lying in regard to the health care public option.
He points to a report by Talkingpointsmemo yesterday, quoting Lieberman as stating the following falsehoods:

1) "This is a kindof 11th hour addition to a debate that's gone on for decades," Lieberman told reporters tonight. "Nobody's ever talked about a public option before. Not even in the presidential campaign last year."

When TPM's Brian Beutler told Lieberman he was wrong, the former replied:

2) "There was a little--there was a line about the possibility of it in an Obama health care policy paper."

But not only did Obama talk about the public option during the campaign, but he promised to implement it, as opposed to offering "the possibility" of it. From the TPM article:
