Indicted man's firm gave to Diaz-Balarts
Indicted man's firm gave to Diaz-Balarts http://www.miamiherald.com/news/miami-dade/story/774717.html

An ex-employee of a prosthetics company that has enlisted the political support of Miami Congressmen Lincoln and Mario Diaz-Balart was indicted in New York Thursday for allegedly destroying and falsifying records sought during a federal probe into the company's billing practices.

The Diaz-Balarts are not tied to the probe.

The FBI began to investigate Hanger Orthopedic Group for possible Medicare billing fraud in 2004 amid allegations the company coerced employees into forging doctors' names on prescriptions for prosthetic devices.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York said the Hanger employee ''directed'' co-workers to shred some records and falsify others.

The underlying FBI probe and a parallel inquiry by the Securities and Exchange Commission continue. The company said any irregularities were confined to a single clinic.

Meanwhile, on Capitol Hill, Hanger has pushed a bill that would broaden insurance coverage for its products. The Diaz-Balart brothers, both Republicans, are among the bill's key backers, saying it would help those needing prosthetics.

Hanger's political action committee and its executives contributed $15,000 to the Diaz-Balarts' campaigns.

Huh. Miamicuban exile politicians with connections to Medicare fraud. Who'da thunk it?

An old DU thread

I wonder if these worms are representative of the ilk when PE Obama claims exiles are freedom's best ambassadors to Cuba?

1. Billy Burnett, it's so unlike the Miami Herald to withhold negative stories on Cuban politicians
until it's less destructive to run them! I don't think they did this on purpose, do you? Certainly not.

What does it take to get these scum out of office? Of course we all know their unspoken power is their ability to call down violence on your ass if you become a problem to them! Will this mean the whole world has to wait until they all die of old age? Jesus.

Clearly associations like this would have brought down an ordinary politician. This is nothing to sneeze at. Dirtballs.

South Florida, Medicare fraud. It's the specialty among certain factions there, just like C-4 explosives. The world will always remember Jeb Bush's good friend, Miguel Recarey, who pulled off the largest Medicare fraud in history before fleeing the country to hide out in Spain and Venezuela, taking his HUGH!1!!!!!1!! stolen-from-US-taxpayers-fortune with him.
