Venezuela president to visit Moscow next week

CARACAS, September 18 (Itar-Tass) - Venezuelan President Hugo Rafael Chavez Frias announced on Wednesday that he would visit Moscow in the middle of next week at the invitation of the Russian leadership.

Mr. Chavez explained that after the planned visit to the People's Republic of China he would make a stopover in the Russian capital. He pointed out that bilateral agreements on cooperation in the fields of energy, science and technology would be signed in Moscow.

Mr. Chavez gave a high appraisal of the results of the just-concluded visit of the widely representative Russian delegation, led by Vice-Premier Igor Sechin, to Venezuela.
