Honduras Cabinet Agrees to Enter ALBA
TEGUCIGALPA - Honduras' Council of Ministers favors President Manuel Zelaya' choice to join the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas, says La Prensa daily.

Zelaya called ALBA, an initiative of Cuba and Venezuela to counter the US-led Free Trade Area for the Americas to impose its hegemony, a means to meet domestic historic problems.

1. Venezuela Hails Honduran Entry to ALBA
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez hailed Honduras' entrance to the ALBA (Bolivarian Alternative of the Americas), which he called piece of the gears to set up an anti-hunger shield.

At a meeting with teachers, Chavez said a peaceful revolution of the peoples is in progress in Latin America and the Caribbean, weary of misery, poverty and ruling elites going superrich.

While Chavez blamed the world crisis on capitalism, he said that defending the poor is the solution and ALBA, made up of Bolivia, Cuba, Dominica and Nicaragua, plays a key role.
