Ecuador shuts down foreign NGO operations
<snip>

Ecuador has ordered the shutdown of the operations of 16 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) amid tighter rules on foreign groups operating in the Andean nation.

The Ecuadorian government announced the decision earlier this month after some NGOs failed to meet a government deadline to provide reports about their activities, including up-to-date information about partner organisations, annual budgets and objectives.

On the government blacklist are NGOs from the United States, Italy, Spain, Germany, Britain, Argentina and Colombia among others.

"We are not trying to expel any NGO, but the groups and the state must meet the obligations under previous agreements," Gabriela Rosero, head of the government agency responsible for overseeing foreign NGOs, known as SETECI, said in a statement.

1. Requiring NGOs to "meet the obligations under previous agreements" sounds commie all right.
Those commie dictators, controlling all that oil in the U.S. Southern Command, and wasting--WASTING! --the oil profits on education and medical care, have no right to know who is meddling in their country! How can we bring freedom and democracy, and starvation and dying from treatable illness, to these people if they mess with sneaky CIA/USAID funding of fascist rioters, coupsters, thugs and assassins! We'll have to bomb 'em into submission if they keep this up!

Not entirely :sarcasm:

2. Yeah, CIA conducting fake innoculation clinics, USAID's fake
"democracy" promotion and all the rest of their scams ruin it for the real thing.

3. Kickin' out the EHM's
Maybe all the reporting we've done in the US about Economic Hitmen and what they do in foreign countries is getting through to them.

to big audiences. I think they are very familiar with the idea, they had to try to survive it.
