Cuban-American Foundation Linked to Smuggling

MEXICO, JUNE 23.— The Cuban American National Foundation (CANF) has been
linked to the Gulf Cartel that smuggles people from Cuba to the United
States via Mexico, reported the La Jornada newspaper on Monday quoting
sources in the Mexican Attorney General’s Office.

The Mexican newspaper states that for three years the terrorist organization
based in Miami has had ties with a band of hired killers known as Los Zetas,
of the Gulf Cartel, who smuggle Cuban and Central American immigrants to the
US through Mexican territory.

Citing legal sources, the newspaper adds that testimonies given before the
authorities and courts of Cancun, Quintana Roo show the participation in
these operations of two Cuban-born citizens currently under arrest and being
held in this state.

The article states that Nairobi Claro and Noriel Veloz, allegedly
responsible for trafficking 33 Cubans into Mexico, have declared that they
belong to CANF and received money to bribe Mexican authorities and obtain
false immigration documents.

The article associates the two suspects with the recent kidnapping of a
group of Cuban immigrants being transported by National Immigration
Institute (INM) officers from Cancun to the immigration station in the state
of Chiapas.

1. So, Obama, in addition to speaking before an organization that . . .
has many generations of violent terrorists as members, you can now include smugglers..

6. What we have here is yet more evidence of CANF's criminal connections.
Nice feint, though.
