Interview with Carlos Rivera - “Una victoria de Keiko sería un desastre para los derechos humanos”
Carlos Rivera is one of six lawyers who helped convict former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori who is currently serving a 25 year sentence for human rights violations.

- ¿Qué consecuencias tendría la elección de Keiko para los juicios de los derechos humanos?

Sería un desastre. Lo que no nos deja de extrañar es que esto ocurra no después de 50 años, sino de una década. Todo está muy fresco. Hay muchos casos que todavía no han terminado. Sólo Fujimori acaba de cumplir dos años de la sentencia principal que se le aplicó. Todo está bastante fresco en la memoria, pero creo que, desgraciadamente, no de todos los peruanos.

No hay una autocrítica en el fujimorismo, Keiko sigue defendiendo que su papá es inocente y Rafael Rey, la persona que intentó desde el Gobierno de Alan García liquidar todos los casos, se presenta como vicepresidente. Si alguien quiere saber cuál sería la política de derechos humanos de un Gobierno de Keiko simplemente tiene que revisar el curriculum de varios miembros de la plancha presidencial o de los principales voceros del fujimorismo.

It had material I've never heard, and makes even a firmer case against the spawn of a bloodthirsty criminal.

It would be such a severe mistake.
