Bolivia Spends 500 Millon Dollar in Food Security
La Paz, Jan 20 (Prensa Latina) The Bolivian government announced that to ensure food security this year will allocated 500 million dollar among large and small farmers through various support mechanisms.

Large farmers will have access to 300 million dollar through loans with low interest rates, said the national coordinator of the Support Programme for Food Security (PASA), Remy Gonzales.

Gonzalez pointed out that credit for farmers mostly installed in the department of Santa Cruz will be between six and eight percent.

According to state newspaper Cambio, benefits may be enjoyed by all major producers, particularly those who grow corn, wheat, soybean, sunflower and other products considered strategic in the big production chains.
