Chavez threatens "bourgeoisie" for economic woes

CARACAS, May 9 (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is promising tough measures against "bourgeois" speculators whom he blames for the OPEC member nation's runaway inflation and ever-weaker bolivar currency.

"We need to stop this right now. The bourgeoisie do not listen to appeals to their conscience. Let's act with a firm hand," the fiery socialist told his Cabinet late on Saturday, in a familiar response to times of economic difficulty.

Well, at least I sold almost everything, and I got my condo up for sale. I'm becoming as nonproductive as possible, as a good citizen of a communist state should, so they can't say I'm making any profits whatsoever. Why even bother, when what one produces is stolen by boligarchs, or by the mob being pumped up by the irrationals at the top?

I do feel sorry for my friends who failed to act sooner, and thought they could remain productive members of society in a communist regime. They didn't read about Cuba, the Soviet Union, Communist China, and all the other nations where communism attacked society and destroyed it. I'm sorry to admit it, but Venezuela is gone.
