Venezuela criticizes US "attempts of destabilization" in Iran
Iran really needs to conduct their repressive actions including murder and executions without US interference.

Venezuela criticizes US "attempts of destabilization" in Iran

President Hugo Chávez is one of Ahmadinejad's closest allies in South America. Chávez views the Iranian ruler as his "brother" and recently called him "anti-imperialist gladiator"

Venezuela on Wednesday criticized the "attempts of destabilization promoted" by the United States in Iran, where a number of dissenting demonstrators have been arrested and at least other eight were killed over the weekend, all of which was rejected by Washington.

"The government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela strongly rejects the attempts of destabilization promoted by the US government against the Iranian government and people," reads a statement from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, AFP reported.

The Foreign Ministry was surprised at "a group of governments, led by the US empire, echoing a campaign to divide and spread violence among the people of Iran, thus contravening the basic rules of peaceful coexistence, non-interference and respect of the sovereignty of the states."

On Monday, US President Barack Obama strongly condemned the arrests of protesters in Iran and urged the Iranian regime to immediately release those who were "unjustly imprisoned" after the largest and bloodiest wave of protests since June.

In this regard, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the demonstrations are based on "a script written by the Zionists and Americans."

1. If Godzilla was anti-imperialist...
he'd be our dear "brother" too.

Sometimes, when I feel a bit paranoid, I start thinking how this president chatterbox gets dumb once in a while and starts acting exactly like the "imperialists" would want him to act.

2. At least Iran stay's out of the US's business when the US is busy beating, jailing, and repressing.
Move along. Nothing to see here.

(Nothing like Iran's puny basij on little scooters with sticks, the US jackboots come in full kit and don't fuck around.)

6. Bemildred, they are not like you
I'm not American, but it sure sounds ridiculous to claim Iran is like the US. You know, some of your friends here lose credibility with their shrillness and exageration. It also makes the left look really bad when it starts supporting human rights abuses. This is one reason why I could never join any of your organizations, they are full of exceptionalists, whose morals and ethics are quite flexible.

7. You have no idea how admired US culture is in Iran.
Things were better for Iranians when Iran's leadership was more in line with US geopolitical ideals and goals.

8. Who cares?
I'm amused by your inward looking self-deceiving attitude. Who gives a hoot if the Iranians hate the US? I think it's fashionable to dislike the US. The point, buddy, is that Iran's is a repressive regime, run by thugs. And your darling Chavez is in bed with them.

I don't think there's a solution for Americans' self centered "i'm the world" attitude. You suckers are so egomaniacal, even when you feel like criticizing your country you fall into the same damn pattern the imperialists do. It's as if you think the whole universe turns around your heads. Wake up.
