3. You probably do not need a TESL certificate to teach English in Ecuador.

You might go to Ecuador and look at the possiblities without this one month's training. For that amount of money you could probably stay a few months in Ecuador.

Tip: Look into private tutoring of Ecuadoran businessmen, university students, teachers, etc.

Good luck if you go. Ecuador is a marvelous country, very nice people. I studied in Quito my university senior year.
