UN Security Council to Honduran Authorities: Back off Brazilian Embassy + note to RABS

The U.N. Security Council held an emergency meeting on the situation in the Brazilian Embassy in Honduras, where ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya has been sheltering since Monday. The council condemned acts of intimidation and called on the defacto Honduran authorities to stop harassing the embassy.

-- The ousted president of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya, can stay in the Brazilian Embassy in the Honduran capital, Tegucigalpa, as long as he deems necessary, said President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Friday.

Zelaya, que foi deposto em 28 de junho, retornou ao país na segunda-feira e se abrigou na embaixada para evitar sua prisão, enquanto pede por sua volta ao poder.

3. I read that he suggested to Obama that the two of them get together next week
to discuss Honduras. I hope it happens.

4. Interesting Option
I guess the Honduras Government can surround the Brazilian Embassy with a fence, and put guards around it, monitor closely who goes in and out. This is what Cuba and communist countries did when their citizens started seeking asylum in foreign embassies.
