I haven't felt so moved by a politician other than Biden as I was last nite.
It reminded me of the first time I heard Biden yelling at reporters about the swiftboat liars....same scenario - I had CSpan on as background noise, and stopped everything to sit down and watch. I hope he gets the nomination and wins the Senate seat for Colorado.
If he does - I just might be glued to Cspan 2 again.

I'm expecting Ellen to chime in here, she was the one who got me to watch CSpan last nite on a panel about AZ's law...and I just kept it on.

1. Good to know - and good that he seems to be doing exceedingly well. MAYBE
the tide is turning and we'll get some more really good people in Congress.

I never saw (or even heard of) Joe yelling at the swiftboaters. Link? :7

Today somebody posted how would Biden be handling the oil catastrophe if he were Prez? And I said I thought heads would roll, and we would KNOW how pissed he was.

2. I don't have a link - Biden was campaigning with Kerry in 2008 & after
Kerry was done with his stump speech the cameras turned to Biden under one of tent things screaming at reporters.
Who is that - I asked myself. Joe Biden D-DE - and that's when I fell in love with the man.

Biden would be raising hell at BP - I kinda wish Obama would put him in charge, just not let him do the press conferences..he wouldn't be able to hold it in. You know he hates drilling off the shore. He doesn't believe in clean coal either. This has got to be real hard for him.

This Romanoff guy is good. He's got that no bs attitude. Nice looking too :P Definitely would be an asset to the Senate.

3. Yeah, I noticed he's nice to look at. :-)
I had this Joe discussion with another DUer earlier (same one who posted that question) and s/he said the same thing -- wished Obama would put Joe in charge. But Joe wouldn't be able to fire anybody without Obama's ok, I'm guessing, plus I think Obama wants to have the final say on everything.

I think it was Jonathan Alter promoting his new book who said that Biden wanted to fire somebody (forget who) and Obama decided against it. I think it had to do with Afghanistan.

Yeah, Joe at a press conference would DEFINITELY tell us what he thought!

4. Joe wanted McCrystal fired. Remember when McC was in Europe-
England I think - and he was talking crap about Obama's plan for Afghanistan? That was NOT right. Obama is Commander in Chief, and McCrystal should have kept his mouth shut.

7. Romanoff wins top billing on Democrats' U.S. Senate ballot.
Senate candidates veered on different rhetorical paths. Romanoff continued to slash at Bennet, though not by name, for refusing to take Democratic ideals far enough and making typical Washington compromises at the cost of the people.

Romanoff conjured images of the disastrous British Petroleum oil spreading in the Gulf of Mexico.

"It is the result in part of an even bigger slick of oil money that our own party has done little or nothing to clean up," Romanoff said. "The same flood of corporate cash washed away our hopes for a public option, drowned discussion of a single-payer health plan, and watered down the reforms we need on Wall Street. And too many politicians, complicit by their silence, surrender without a fight."
