Remember? She was walking with the Prez & had on a black skirt & this gorgeous iris sweater. It's a fab color on her!

They are both so beautiful! And they smile a lot - smiles that come from within, not forced smiles, like I always felt poor Laura had on her face. Do you think she'd ever consider divorcing George?

7. Oh, I remember that frozen smile

A smile that masks years of disappointment and pain. I'm quite sure divorce was considered more than once in their marriage, but for some reason she stuck it out, like many women do. I can't imagine being married to such a fool for so many years. Laura isn't stupid. I'd love to know what goes on in her head.

And yes, I remember that photo and I think you're right.
