I just got my copy of Newsweek in the mail!
The first thing I saw was a photo of JOE on the cover!!! It made my day. It's different seeing the article in the hard cover version and some different photos than online.

1. Hey! I need to come in here more often. There are so many good Joe articles
out there lately I cannot keep up with all of them. Having a 4 year old and a 5 year old to keep up with allows me to just do a quick check on the GD: Prez forum most of the time but I miss this place.
This is kind of weird for us, Joe getting so much actual good attention. I saw the Newsweek at Stop and Shop the other day. I have some extra money so I can actually get it tomorrow. I am just amazed but happy that our VP is finally getting the recognition he deserves. :)

2. It was worth the wait
I was beginning to wonder if he'd ever get the credit he deserves. Its been a great week for Joe!

5. Hi! It's so well deserved, I'm so happy for him. I wasn't sure how he'd take
not being his own boss, but he's doing an amazing job, and standing up for himself!

I'd heard him say that when O asked him to be VP, one of Joe's stipulations was that he was 'not going to give up his brand'. O said okay, but initially I felt like they were trying to keep a leash on him. Now they seem to be realizing and appreciating what he can bring to the table.

:hi:

7. I like reading how well they get along now and how much O appreciates
what Joe brings to the table. Tons of years of experience and giving honest advice are two great things Joe brings to the Vice Presidency.

9. I remember being very disappointed with the
way Joe was treated in the beginning, especially by Obama. Glad Joe stood up for himself.

10. I got mine yesterday.
That's a great cover and I loved the article. This one gets saved in my "Obama" box.

in that order :)

13. I don't know why it is so hard to get
magazines like Newsweek in stores these days. I've been through this before and it appears that you have to go to book stores to get REAL magazines.

I have mine on the dining table and every time I pass it I see the big photo of Joe and the headline "Why Joe is No Joke"!

15. Dam - I was in Walgreens today and I forgot to look.
It's so true how hard it is to get news magazines - geesh.
One of the stores I looked at was a grocery store - a grocery store. Usually they have a great selection.

17. Most stores used to carry Newsweek and Time
at the registers, but now its all tabloids and women's magazines.

18. same thing in my grocery store.
I once asked the clerk (young lady maybe 18 years old) if they had Newsweek, and she didn't even know what that magazine was! She thought I was referring to one of their endless tabloids. 'Nuf said!

19. It's so strange
I don't even know when it started to change. When I was in the hospital a year ago, my son tried to pick up some news magazines for me and he couldn't find any in regular stores!
