5. sure!
I'll still have a guest room.

Since you guys are like family, I can share that I have come to adore another DU'er. Boy love is sure strange and wonderful. This marriage was over a long time ago, so although at times the road seems daunting, I know I can do it, and am looking forward to the solitude to work on me for awhile. I am no where near where I want to be career-wise.

13. I wish you luck....
I had a similar experience in 98. My marriage ended in divorce and it had really ended years earlier.....it took finding someone else to understand that. Someone from the net.

I read your posts this morning and have been thinking about how to respond. It was a daunting time and took much strength. As I look back I am not sorry about what I decided to do, but am sorry about some of the ways I went about it. Be true to yourself....and your family no matter how hard.
You will learn who your real friends are.....and there may be some surprises good and bad.

From this, I had a wonderful relationship that ended a few years ago....and then I spent needed time alone. For me it was a spiritual journey...I just didn't realize it at the time. You are the only one who can decide what it is you need or want....

You will be a better person from your experiences....I can guarantee it even if at times you can't see it....

Again.....much luck!!

15. Thanks for the kind words
This person and I know each other from a mutual friend, and everything was platonic until after I left my marriage which was unraveling back a year or so ago, maybe longer. Too much BS to put up with.

He wrote to me PM after he saw my Obama in Berlin crowd photo last July. I met him for breakfast when I was home last November, strictly friends. I was married and take my vows seriously. He was respectful. The more we emailed, the more I realized that he was this great person, a great friend. I LIKED him. Cool concept!

Life is sure strange, but I love DU for the bounties it has brought me. All of you, and now this. :grouphug:

16. Finally deciding to divorce was one of the hardest things I've ever done.
I don't regret it in the least. Being a single isn't perfect, but for me, it's darn close. Best to you, and if you ever need an ear, I've got two.

8. Since you see me on Facebook
You probably already know who it is. LOL.

It's not really much of a shocker, only to friends that we kept our sorrows hidden from, my Mom cannot stand my STBX, she's never forgiven him for alot of shit he pulled in the late 90s. C'est la vie!

25. He's much better looking than either of those two
Yeah, he's craggy and has gravitas.

In real life he has Robert Deniro's eyes (he's Italian) but looks alot like Jack Nicholson, and does a dead-ringer Nicholson impression. I'll post a pic on FB.

but I've found myself drawn back here lately. I needed some mindless activity for a while and Facebook fit the bill quite well.

24. It IS nice
Though I am still politically aware, I don't feel the need to keep track of everything all the time. My involvement is much more relaxed now and not angry.

20. I was just thinking about you & some of the others a few days ago.
I'm glad I stopped by today. Glad you are looking forward to the changes in your life. Love the pic, too! And even though I hardly ever enter the lounge, I'm gonna check it out. ;)

I'm not here much anymore, either. Seems my need for an egg timer has taken care of itself.

Good to see everyone! :grouphug:
