How lucky can you get?

It's official, US VP Joe Biden Will Be Visiting Costa Rica On March 29

It is official, United States vice president, Joe Biden, will definitely visit Costa Rica at the end of the month. The Biden visit was made official by the Bruno Stagno Ugarte, Costa Rica's Foreign Minister.

The news of the Biden visit has been circulating since last week. However, neither the White House nor Costa Rica's Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto, would confirm or deny the visit, until yesterday.

Biden will be making a stop in Costa Rica to meet with Costa Rican president, Oscar Arias, while on route from Chile back to the US.

I wanna go to Costa Rica too!

5. I think working in the Senate keeps you pretty busy, too.
Maybe not quite like VP, but it's not like Biden went from my kind of ultra-laid-back-life to VP of the US. ;) It's nice, though, isn't it? The energy! I love it! We certainly didn't see this kind of energy or engagement from Cheney!

Our media pisses me off so much. I hardly ever watch cable "news" anymore. I tell you, you're damned if you do & damned if you don't with them. They criticize that the administration is taking on too much, but if the administration was focused only on the economy the media would be criticizing that there are so many problems that the administration should be focusing on all of them, not just one. :eyes:  :eyes:

I lost it when CNN had Rush on for his entire speech. I pretty much turned them off & haven't had them on since. Good thing, too, cuz I think I would have hurled something through the screen if I had caught John King's pathetic interview of Cheney. :grr: :grr: :grr:

6. I gave up on CNN some time ago
Wolf Blitzer alone drives me nuts, but the rest of the CNN gang are so two dimensional, I'd rather watch puppets do the news. They tend to substitute substance with glitzy sets - can't stand The Situation Room! They've become FOX-lite.

There's still Keith and Rachel on MSNBC to keep my sanity.

7. Here's what I don't understand -
the networks are about money & profits, right? You know CNN sees that Rachel & Kieth are hitting it out of the park almost every night, so why don't they offer a good liberal show to compete at that time slot? I believe the American public is more liberal than the media lets on & there is an audience for liberal talk/'news' shows. If they had a show with Ed Schultz, Thom Hartmann or someone like that, CNN could give Rachel & Keith a run for their money. I find it interesting that in this case, sticking to the corporate message is more important to them than ratings. Fox-lite, indeed! They are becoming more irrelevant by the day!

8. Somehow they think
splashy graphics and gimmicks will counteract any liberal competition. They might even try being "interesting" - that would be a start.
