11. It was stinky, literally

Fireworks are totally legal here, and from about 11:45pm till well after 1:00am, the entire town was lighting up bottle rockets, crackers, fireworks. It was cool, but man did it smell awful afterwards. Usually I keep the window cracked in the bedroom to sleep (I love the cold!) but not last night. PU!

This morning I awoke to about 2" of snow, it's beautiful.

9. Happy New Year!

My 4 year old wanted to know what people do on New Year's because she knows on Christmas we give gifts to each other. I told her we hug and kiss and say Happy New Years and she preceded to do that to everyone she came in contact with, it was pretty funny.

I noticed that when I would write e-mails with no smilies, they just felt incomplete. And I HATED smilies before I came to DU!

I've gradually gone through and eliminated a lot of them. The email was just too overwhelming and it was hard to find personal mail. I can imagine how many emails you must have right now.
