We HAVE to win this election! This country will be in complete tatters if McCain wins.

I was an election judge in '04. I had never done it before. It is very interesting & fun, too! They had great turnout from the community for judges in '04 & I was assigned to my precinct. Two of the other judges were also from my precinct. I had canvassed my precinct during the campaign so I was familiar with all the streets & recognized many of the registered dem names. It was fun to see people you know & to converse with others that share your little area of the community. There was so much excitement in the air in '04! I got home about 9:30pm that night & Kerry was ahead. Then in a period of about 30 minutes, boosh took OH & it was a given that Kerry lost. It was the most deflating day ever. I cried myself to sleep.

I'm going to be a judge again this year & hope for better results. I get pissed that the dems have not addressed the HAVA & all the issues that electronic voting bring. If Obama wins, this better be a key issue that gets attention! Man have they got their work cut out for them! So many issues!

Just curious, what type of voting system do JBSG vote on? Our county votes on paper ballots that are optically scanned & electronically tabulated. Sure, it's better to have a paper trail than not, but the vote is still digitized. Ballots need to be tallied by people, not computers.
