Are you watching this shit????!
I thought Obama was MASTERFUL, but McCain's wow-ing them! They LOVE him! Guess it shouldn't be a surprise.

It's making me sick. I'm going to the store.

1. I walked my dogs during part of Obama's (long story) but heard
most of McCains. I am nauseated and scared now.

2. I was VERY impressed by Obama -- and touched.

He seemed to be so sincere and speaking from his heart. I'm sure he made sure his answers were politically right on, but I believed him.

I knew we were in trouble when not one person clapped when he said he was against the war in Iraq. He tried to save it, but they weren't having any.

McCain, as everybody is saying, stumped. Period.

They fucking APPLAUDED when he mentioned Iraq, OFFSHORE DRILLING, for the love of God, and nuclear energy! All big applause-getters!

I literally had to leave. I was so spitting mad and ANGRY at these people for being so fucking thick.

My concern now is that he'll get the fundie vote that seemed elusive before. Life begins at conception. APPLAUSE!!!! My presidency will be a pro-life administration. APPLAUSE!!!!

I guess this knocks Tom Ridge out of the running.

The bright spot is that not too many people probably watched, but I'm afraid those who were not on board with McCain may now be thinking he wasn't as bad as they thought.

This sucks.

3. I guess I'm far left enough
that I have no idea how this stuff plays to moderates/independents.

4. It's not the moderates or independents that concern me--
it's the fundies who may have stayed home, but now may vote for McCain.

6. I watched
I have to say that McCain did so much better than I expected. I was anticipated another bungling, eye blinking, fiasco. I'm afraid he may have reassured some uncertain people on the fence. Obama was excellent and Rick Warren really seemed to connect better with him than with McCain.

Oh well, there will be debates yet to come. We shouldn't put too much into this.

7. I was opposed to Obama doing this event & in the end, I think I was right.
Obama gave thoughtful serious answers. McCain, however, approached it like he was running for high school student council. Even though McCain answered seriously, he would joke before answering. It reminded me of boosh - let's get a laugh here before we answer. :puke:

I think the audience was polite to Obama, but I agree, Gately, they loved McCain. :eyes:

I am sorry to say that I believe we are in for another 4 years of republican rule & it leaves me wondering if I would feel that way if Biden were our candidate.
