DEMOCRATS: More Democratic veep shortlist members get speaking assignments: Sens. Joe Biden, Evan Bayh and Gov. Bill Richardson will all speak Wednesday night. Convention aides say not to read too much into the speaking list or assume those already on the program are not veep candidates.

A good reminder: “There is nothing under Delaware law that would prevent Biden from running for both vice president and the Senate this year.

The Washington Post points out that Obama has never been beholden to the liberal blogosphere, which has recently selected potential veep Bayh as the target of anti-war wrath. "…Obama has also shown he is willing to hold the liberal blogosphere at arms length, most recently by ignoring Internet entreaties to abandon support for a compromise bill on warrantless wiretapping."

I take exception to that last snip -- as we know, there is a LOT of support for Biden here. This makes it sound as though nobody in the liberal blogosphere wants him. That's just not accurate.

Biden over Bayh, even if they'd prefer it was neither of them.

2. David Bender (who is filling in for Rachel) just said he thinks

Biden would be the best. Some callers agree.

I think it's tough enough for some to accept someone who voted for the IWR, but too much to ask to feel good about a cheerleader for it like Bayh was.

Gotta say again, I was pleasantly surprised at the majority of positive comments about Biden on the Google links.

Let's see. It's 7:10pm now. At the moment, I'm thinking it could happen!

You gotta hand it to the Obama camp, they are playing their cards very close to their chest.
As soon as everyone thought it would be Biden, they threw Bayh and Richardson back into the mix.

I'm really thinking that it's someone we haven't even thought of.

I don't think they wanted everyone to figure it out too quickly as it messes up their text message/email promo, so now they're mixing everything up again. We'll see.

He's in a freezer in an undisclosed location. They too are waiting for the right moment to do their big unveiling. :P

Oh well, they'll probably string us along too. Then next week there is the unveiling of the new electric car with unlimited mileage.
